The HYMS Centre for Education Development (CED) supports the development of high quality evidence-based health professional education. 

We achieve this through:
  • conducting research in education and supporting the pedagogical basis of our curriculum
  • providing a range of programmes to develop expertise in health professions’ education
  • supporting the introduction of best practice from other institutions into HYMS’ educational programmes
  • support high quality evaluation of educational programmes at HYMS
  • encouraging innovative and creative approaches in education
  • encouraging educational Scholarship for our students and Faculty 
  • nurturing international partnerships in educational development and research
The Centre for Education Development will support HYMS in developing and delivering best practice in the fields of:
  • Technology enhanced classroom, clinical and personal learning 
  • Student engagement in education
  • Public and patient engagement in education
